Privacy & Data Integrity

1

Server Isolation

WireCord operates on a strict "Zero-Visibility" protocol. Data within a Server is only accessible to users explicitly linked via the server_user membership table.

  • Server names and Slugs are hidden from global discovery.
  • Membership is verified at the database level before any Livewire component renders.
2

Socket Encryption & Authorization

All real-time communication flows through Private Channels via Laravel Reverb. This means:

Handshake No user can subscribe to a channel without a signed WebSocket token.
Eavesdropping Payloads are restricted to specific Channel ID contexts, preventing cross-server data leaks.
3

Identifier Masking

We do not expose raw auto-incrementing database IDs in our URLs. WireCord utilizes HashIDs and Unique Slugs to ensure that your server's database structure remains obfuscated from the public-facing web.

Note: As an administrator of a WireCord Server, you are responsible for the management of your own Server Slugs. Ensure that sensitive information is not included in the server name during the creation process.
